Xiaomi has been quiet for some time now. We haven’t seen a new device from the Xiaomi camp since October. While the Chinese Manufacturer has been quite busy on the software front, releasing updates for the Mi A1 ; the hardware department has been resting. But now we do know what they are upto. Xiaomi has been working on their next flagship device all along. The Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to launch at MWC 2018 next month.
After several rumors, we now have the info of what the device might look like. The latest render, spotted by Techlector, showcases the front and rear of the Xiaomi Mi 7. The device seems to be designed on the footsteps of Mi Mix 2. Sporting a bezel-less design language on the front, it looks very 2018-ish.

The rear of the Xiaomi Mi 7 holds an iPhone X-like vertical dual camera setup. A report also mentioned that the Xiaomi Mi 7 could drop the fingerprint scanner in favor of Face Unlock. But in the renders, we can see a circle at the usual resting place of a fingerprint scanner. So that might be untrue. Interestingly, the report also suggests that the smartphone may support wireless charging and might be encased in glass.
Coming to the front of the phone, we have an edge-to-edge display which, according to some reports, is a 6-inch 18:9 OLED panel. The Xiaomi Mi 7 is confirmed to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC. This means, Xiaomi’s next flagship device will join the likes of Samsung Galaxy S9 and Sony Xperia XZ Pro. It is also speculated to come with a 3,000mAh battery with 6GB of RAM.
Looking at the past record of rumors and MWC, the above information about the device can be assumed to be true.
