Though users can still unlock their phones by face (via the Trusted Face option) on the OnePlus 3 and 3T but that’s not as quick as Face Unlock. The ‘Trusted Face’ process is a two-step process where the user has to hold the phone in front of his face and then swipe up to unlock the device. While in Face Unlock, a user holds the device in front of his face and the system grants him permission to get into the device. This is a one-step quick process.

While the new upgrades come as a welcome surprise for the OnePlus 3 and 3T users, nothing can be said regarding an OTA update as of now. OnePlus is making sure to make the upcoming OTA bug-free for the users.
