Apple announces new iMac Pro with upto 18-core processor and 5k display

Apple today announced a brand new tier of its all-in-one desktop called the iMac Pro.  “The most powerful Mac ever,” – according to the company – features an entirely new design, 27-inch Retina 5K display with support for 1 billion colors, up to 18-core Xeon processors and up to 22 Teraflops of graphics computation.


Apple says the computer will ship with an 8-core Xeon processor, with configurations that scale up to an 18-core Xeon processor, 5K display, and an all-new AMD Radeon Vega graphics GPU. You’ll also be able to shell out for up to 16GB of VRAM, up to 128GB of data corruption-protecting ECC RAM, and up to 4TB for SSD storage.

The new Apple iMac Pro comes in space gray, starts at US$ 4,999 (Rs. 3,21,635 approx.) and ships in December.
